Hong Kong Bound (Oct 28 – Nov 5)

I‘m very thankful to be feeling better. I was down with a sore-throat and cough last week, and then on Sunday I ended up getting a slight stomach flu which took me out of commission for two days (pretty much slept both of those days away).

I was worried, as I’ll be making a quick trip to Hong Kong tomorrow, from October 28 – November 5, to pick up my Hong Kong passport. I currently hold a United Kingdom B.N.O. (British National Overseas) passport, but it actually causes a lot of problems since the Chinese government doesn’t recognize me as a Hong Kong citizen, but as a British citizen (and it’s really complicated, visa-wise, to be a foreigner in China). I’ll also be applying for my Return Home Permit, which will also hopefully make my stay in Beijing/China a lot easier for the future.

I’m considering whether I should bring along my camera gear; I guess I should, since I haven’t been back to Hong Kong in the longest time, and Hong Kong is always a fun place to take pictures at.

Anyhow, I need to start packing.

Hopefully the next update should be from Hong Kong!
