(Post 2 of 2)

Apologies for the delayed post of the second half of the NBA community outreach event that I covered in Beijing on October 10th 2009. It was a busy two weeks at work, and then I ended up falling sick twice in the past week; stinks.
Just to recap on the CSR event, the NBA had funded several improvements for the Chun Feng Xue Xiao (Chun Feng School) migrant school located in a small community outside the fifth ring of Beijing.

In the first post, I addressed some of the issues that migrant children face in moving to the cities in China, and also posted some of the images that I had captured of the school and students before the start of the NBA CSR event.

This post will highlight the actual NBA CSR event and activities, where the Denver Nuggets participated in an English reading program, and also held several basketball activities for the migrant school’s students.

  • great pics! always been a fan of billups. challenging to see that even the nba is being more mission-minded :)
  • Man, that's awesome! Love the pictures, esp. the one with David Stern and Chauncey casually sitting on those diner seats in the back. It's good to know that the NBA is using its popularity for a greater cause.
